ORIGIN is hiring a Mid Level Accountant for its Beirut office.

Location: Zalka, Metn, Lebanon
Working Hours: 9am to 5pm
Working Days: Sunday to Thursday
Position overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team.This position requires expertise in financial management and accounting principles, as well as proficiency in handling administrative responsibilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing cash flow, preparing financial reports such as profit and loss (P&L), overseeing taxation matters. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Responsibilities
- Financial Management: Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure the availability of funds for daily operations. Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including profit and loss (P&L) statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Analyze financial data and provide recommendations for improving financial performance.
- Taxation: Stay updated on tax regulations and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Prepare and submit tax returns, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines. Coordinate with external tax advisors or auditors when necessary.
- Invoicing and Client Follow-Up: Generate accurate and timely invoices for products or services rendered. Ensure invoices are properly recorded and reconciled with financial records. Follow up with clients to ensure prompt payment and resolve any billing discrepancies or issues. Maintain an organized system for tracking invoices, payments, and outstanding balances.
- Understanding Debit and Credit: Apply a thorough understanding of debit and credit principles to ensure accurate financial recording. Properly classify and record financial transactions, ensuring entries are posted to the correct accounts. Perform reconciliations of accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, and operations, to ensure alignment and efficient processes. Communicate financial information and recommendations effectively to management and other stakeholders. Respond to inquiries from internal and external parties regarding financial and administrative matters.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven work experience as an Accountant, preferably with exposure to administrative tasks.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting.
- Experience with cash flow management, P&L analysis, and taxation.
- Familiarity with contract review and adjustment processes.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective organizational and time management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
